Before the Swoosh became the Swoosh everyone knows today, there was the Moon Shoe.

The Nike Moon Shoe takes things all the way back to the beginning, when Bill Bowerman was experimenting with new ways to build a faster running shoe. And yes, the waffle sole story is real - one of Nike’s most recognisable designs started from an idea tested with a waffle iron.

Pretty wild when you think about everything that came after.

This version keeps that original ‘70s running energy alive with a lightweight nylon upper, leather Swoosh and the signature waffle outsole that helped shape Nike’s future. A reminder that some of the biggest things in sneaker culture started with someone simply trying something different.
